Instant Plumbing and Gas responded in good time and loaned an electric water heater whilst we waited for delivery of a new water heater. We did not have a day where we did not have hot water for showers. We opted for a heat pump hot water system. Though it was more expensive than the gas water heater we are more than pleased with the replacement. The additional electricity barely registers so the saving in running cost will soon pay for the additional capital outlay. More importantly is that the hot water does not suffer from the temperature variability we have always had with gas. The only negative is that the tank is much larger than the one it replaced but it is out of sight and therefore doesn’t affect us. We have only had the heat pump for a week but based on its performance during this cold snap I fully recommend Instant Plumbing and the heat pump hot water system.
